This begins in October 2006 with my trip to Japan but segues into images of things I have cooked.
I finally had sushi in Japan. After two months. It was really good. Much better than sushi at home for $3.50 would have been, and way more fish. Not quite good enough to make me abandon bagels, but almost.

I like reading about and making food. And I hate following recipes. Therefore, the only logical thing to do would be to write a food blog wherein I write recipes for others to not follow, right?

the fish in hokkaido sushi is absolutely MASSIVE. it's like 3x the size of what you get in honshu (and of course even more compared to america). it's crazy.
